Discussion on the installation method of fire doors
Fire doors are divided by material: there are steel fire doors and wooden fire doors. These two types of fire doors have some differences in installation methods in terms of details. There is also a slight difference in fire protection level. When installing, everyone must pay attention to details.
Firstly, when installing wooden fireproof doors, the size of the door frame should be 20mm smaller than the opening, and the bottom foot of the door frame should be buried 20mm below the ground. The door frame should be firmly fixed to the wall and perpendicular to the angle. When erecting and supporting frames, strict attention should be paid to being straight and at the same angle to avoid sawing. There should be no less than 3 fixed points on both sides of the door frame, and the spacing should preferably not exceed 800mm.
Secondly, during the installation process of steel fire doors, considering the issue of bending deformation of the door frame, wooden braces should be used to support the width direction of the door frame. The lower feet of the door frame should be buried 20mm below the ground, and then the door frame should be welded to the embedded parts on the wall. Then make a hole in the wall at the corner of the door frame and pour concrete with cement, sand, and expanded perlite (1:2:5). After the concrete solidifies, it can be used.
Fire doors have sealing requirements:
The national standard has clear requirements for the size of gaps at the overlapping points of fire doors: for steel fire doors, it is required that the overlap between the leaves and the door frame shall not be less than 10mm, and the gap on both sides between the leaves and the door frame shall not exceed 4mm. After the installation and closure of the fire door, the gap should not be too large, otherwise the sealing performance of the fire door is difficult to ensure, and it is also difficult to reflect its ability to suppress fire and smoke spread under fire conditions.
Therefore, the width of the gaps left in the installation of fire doors must be strictly controlled. According to these standard specifications for installation, the effective function of fire doors can be guaranteed to a certain extent. Consumers must supervise on the side when hiring construction units to prevent problems such as cutting corners and materials, so as to prevent fire doors from causing casualties in the event of a fire.
